Thinking of selling?

If you do have an item or collection that you’d like us consider taking on, just get in touch with us, and here are some useful pointers to get the ball rolling.


  • We'll evaluate the items free of charge, with no obligation on your part to accept our offer

  • If you can, email us beforehand with a list and/or photos to give us an idea of what you have

  • When you're ready, give us a call to arrange bringing them into the shop

  • We'll need to test working models so please be willing to leave them with us, and turnaround time is very workload dependant

    About Us


    KS Models started trading in 1980 focussing mainly on British Outline railway modelling, soon becoming familiar faces at exhibitions
    and eventually moving into our current shop premises in Stevenage Old Town in 1994.

    We do our best to cater for everybody in the hobby, from beginner to experienced; ready-to-run to the more specialised aspects of the hobby. Everyone is welcome.
    Many of our customers know and appreciate us as time-served members of the hobby, involved since childhood, happy to help and advise wherever we can.
    And sell you lots of goodies along the way.

    We've developed into a business not only focussed on model railways, we also cover a large and varied selection of plastic kit brands, and keep a healthy stock of second-hand. Then of course there are all the tools and materials.

    We look forward to seeing you and having a chat.

    Visit us at the shop:
    19 Middle Row, Old Town Stevenage, Herts SG1 3AW.

  • We are in the pedestrian-only Middle Row that runs parallel to the High Street (you can't see us just by driving past) - from one end we're just a few metres from Simmons Bakers, from the other end a short distance from Subway.
  • There's plenty of parking; in the High Street, and nearby surface car parks.
  • Bus routes serve us well. If you're coming by train we're less than a mile from the station - about 15 minutes walk.
  • There are some great places to eat and have a cuppa if you want to make more of your visit to what is a lovely old town.
